Soul's Crossover X Weapons Tier List

Weapons are your primary damage source in Soul’s Crossover X. Every melee weapon has combo damage, effective DPS, critical chance, and sometimes piercing — stats that matter more than rarity color once bosses scale into six-digit HP pools. This July 2026 weapons tier list ranks everything from starter shop gear to rare boss drops so you farm the right fights.

SS Tier — Dominant damage

Frisk Knife

The strongest all-around weapon in UTSRX. Frisk Knife delivers 6750 combo damage (~4500 DPS), 25% critical chance, and 60% piercing — enough to shred groups and single-target bosses alike.

Drop source: ~10% from US Frisk boss. Farming can take dozens of kills; bring a party or optimize respawn routes. Frisk Knife defines the Endgame Build alongside Seven Souls and Erased Set pieces.

Chaos Saber

Chaos Saber is the top craftable weapon: 4950 combo (~3300 DPS), 25% crit, 25% piercing. You control acquisition instead of RNG — ideal if US Frisk refuses to drop.

Craft at Sans Crafting: 100,000 Gold, 50 Gems, Chaos Saber Pieces A/B/C (20% each from Asriel), plus Sans Bone and other materials. Higher gold cost than most souls, but guaranteed once you farm pieces.

S Tier — Boss drop elites

Real Knife

Real Knife outputs 4000 combo (~2677 DPS) with 25% crit. It drops 20% from Chara in the Barrier and is required for the Erased Set with True Locket and Determination Soul. Even without the set, Real Knife stays competitive through endgame.

Trident

Trident ranks S-tier among polearm-style melee options with strong combo totals and crit — a reliable boss drop for players who have not finished Chaos Saber crafting or Frisk Knife farming. Check current drop bosses after patches on the Events hub.

Alphys Axe

Alphys Axe offers high combo damage with piercing from Underswap Alphys — a strong alternative when Lab-area bosses are easier for your current level. S-tier for mid-late game until Frisk Knife or Real Knife arrives.

A Tier — Reliable mid-game

Tem Katana

Purchased from the Tem Shop for gems — pairs naturally with Tem Soul and the Tem Set for mobility-focused builds. Damage sits below boss drops but availability makes it a solid A-tier pick at level 30+.

B Tier — Early replacements

Worn Dagger and starter drops

Any weapon that doubles your Human Soul-era damage belongs here briefly. Replace Worn Dagger once you can afford Empty Gun or farm your first boss drop. The Beginner Build lists exact purchase order.

C Tier — Outgrown quickly

Torn Notebook (early only)

Torn Notebook can carry spell-focused accounts until Perseverance/Justice souls unlock better stats, but piercing and DPS fall off compared to Integrity-era shop weapons. Upgrade within the first few hours.

D Tier — Starter gear

Default weapons tied to fresh accounts or quest rewards with no crit or piercing. Sell or stash them — do not reforge D-tier gear. Spend gems on soul crafts instead.

How we rank weapons

1. Effective DPS — Combo damage divided by attack speed window.
2. Piercing — Multi-target cleave value in open-world farming.
3. Critical chance — Synergy with Justice and Erased Set crit bonuses.
4. Acquisition — Shop gold vs gem cost vs boss drop rate.
5. Set synergy — Empty Gun and Real Knife gain tiers from set completion.

Reforging can shift a weapon’s rolled stats. Use Tools if available, or visit Chara’s enchant/reforge NPC in the lobby (5 Gems per attempt, nine possible tiers).

Weapon progression roadmap

Shop dagger → Empty Gun (Justice Set) → Boss drop or Chaos Saber craft → Frisk Knife or Real Knife endgame.

Parallel track: Tem Katana for jump-heavy Tem Set explorers.

Event weapons from the DBZ Event may slot into S or A tier during crossovers — compare their stats to Real Knife before switching your main loadout.

Farming efficiency

• Party boss kills improve drop-per-hour for 10–20% rate items like Frisk Knife.
• Save 100k gold for Chaos Saber before impulse-buying shop gear.
• Do not reforge heavily until you settle on a B-tier or higher keeper.
• Match weapon to soul passive — Bravery’s +24% damage scales with high-DPS weapons.
• Redeem Codes for gold and gems to reach craft thresholds faster.
