Soul's Crossover X Event Build Guide

Super Saiyan Soul and DBZ event gear — reset requirements, farming routes, and loadout tips.

Last updated:

The event build guide covers Soul’s Crossover X crossover content — currently the DBZ event that launched July 25, 2026. Unlike the standard Endgame Build focused on Seven Souls and Erased Set, event builds require resets, event tokens, and farming Son Koku in the Dragon Ball-themed zone.

This loadout is optional for base-game progression but essential if you want Super Saiyan Soul, event armor, and the Awakening ability. Full event context lives on DBZ Event.

Prerequisites — before you enter the event

The DBZ area is locked behind two resets:

  1. Reach the level requirement for your first reset
  2. Enter the room between Frisk (Reforge) and Chara (Enchant) in the main lobby
  3. Complete reset — restart at level 1 but gain +100 Gems
  4. Repeat for a second reset

Only after two resets can you access the DBZ event portal. Plan this when your main Beginner Build or Justice Set progression slows — not on day one.

You should also have:

  • Stable gold income from boss farming
  • Familiarity with Chara and Frisk NPC locations
  • Optional: partial Seven Souls shard progress on your main track

Event zone overview

The crossover adds:

  • Kame House area with Bulma Crafting NPC
  • Son Koku — level 250 boss, 500,000 HP, 25% attack resistance
  • Drops: event armor, spells, Super Saiyan Soul Shards, Release Tokens

Son Koku is the primary farm target. Release Tokens drop at 100% rate (multiple per kill) — you need 250 for Super Saiyan Soul craft.

Super Saiyan Soul stats: +10,000 HP, +10,000 Mana, +7 Walk Speed, +7 Jump Power — competitive with Determination Soul and approaching Seven Souls totals with a combat active.

Crafting Super Saiyan Soul

Speak to Bulma inside Kame House:

  • Level 200 required
  • 100 Gems
  • 250,000 Gold
  • 2 Super Saiyan Soul Shards (~5% drop from Son Koku)
  • 250 Release Tokens (100% drop rate from Son Koku, stack quickly)

This is expensive. Bank gold during reset grinds and redeem Codes before your craft session.

Awakening ability — when to press it

Awakening triggers a short cutscene, then grants:

  • +50% DMG for 35 seconds
  • +100% HP Regen for 35 seconds
  • 60-second cooldown between uses

Use Awakening at the start of Son Koku attempts or tough open-world elites. The regen spike pairs well with aggressive melee from Frisk Knife if you hybrid main + event gear.

Do not waste Awakening on trash mobs — cooldown is long enough to matter in extended fights.

Farming strategy

Phase A — Unlock event (two resets)

Grind levels efficiently with Justice Set or partial Seven Souls shards. Each reset refunds 100 gems — net +200 gems after two resets if you have not spent them.

Phase B — Token and shard farm

  1. Enter DBZ zone after second reset
  2. Fight Son Koku repeatedly in parties
  3. Collect 250 Release Tokens (fast due to 100% drop)
  4. Farm 2 Super Saiyan Soul Shards (5% — slower)
  5. Gather 250,000 Gold and 100 Gems in parallel

Phase C — Craft and optimize

Craft Super Saiyan Soul at level 200. Equip event armor and spells that dropped along the way. Reforge event weapons only if they replace shop gear — prioritize main-track Real Knife first.

Many veterans maintain both: Seven Souls for everyday farming, Super Saiyan Soul swapped in for event bosses or Awakening-dependent content.

Hybrid loadout tip

You cannot wear two souls — pick one per fight. Recommended approach:

  • Main world / Undertale bosses: Seven Souls + Erased Set + Frisk Knife
  • DBZ zone / Son Koku: Super Saiyan Soul + event armor + Awakening opener

Share weapons and armor pieces where sets allow. Erased Set bonuses require Determination Soul specifically — Super Saiyan Soul does not activate Erased.

Common event mistakes

  • Entering without two resets — Portal stays locked; check lobby room.
  • Spending all gems before craft — Super Saiyan Soul needs 100 gems on top of reset rewards.
  • Ignoring gold requirement — 250k gold exceeds Seven Souls craft cost.
  • Skipping main progression — Event gear does not replace Erased Set for Chara farming.
  • Solo Son Koku at low level — 500k HP and resistance favor coordinated groups.

Future events

The DBZ crossover sets precedent: anime-themed zones, token currencies, and craft NPCs. When new events launch, this page will expand. Monitor Events hub and Official Links for announcements.

Event builds reward patience and reset planning. Rush the Beginner Build first, then return here when you are ready to sacrifice levels for gems and crossover power.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I access the DBZ event in Soul's Crossover X?

Complete two resets via the room between Frisk and Chara NPCs in the lobby. Each reset requires hitting a level threshold and restarts you at level 1 with +100 Gems. After two resets, the DBZ event area unlocks.

Is Super Saiyan Soul better than Seven Souls?

Super Saiyan Soul has slightly higher HP and mana (+10,000 vs +7777) plus the Awakening active ability. Seven Souls is easier to obtain without resets and pairs with Erased Set. Many players use both for different content.

How many Release Tokens do I need?

Super Saiyan Soul crafting requires 250 Release Tokens from Son Koku. Tokens drop at 100% rate, so this step is faster than farming the 5% Super Saiyan Soul Shards.

Can I use event build as my only loadout?

You can, but Erased Set and Frisk Knife remain stronger for standard Undertale bosses. Event build excels inside the DBZ zone and for Awakening burst damage.
